Richard "Kalani" Vierra, a 15-year-old from Waianae, Hawaii, disappeared on July 5, 2014, after setting out on a solo hike along the Kamaileuna Ridge Trail near his home. He left early that morning around 6:30 a.m. and last spoke to his mother at 11:30 a.m., informing her that he was on his way down from the hike. However, Kalani never returned home and has not been seen or heard from since.
