On October 1, 2014, Alfredo Giddens, aged 51, was tragically shot while sitting in his car in the 1000 block of S. Gevers Street, located on San Antonio's East Side. The incident occurred at approximately 9:50 a.m. when two female suspects approached Giddens. Witnesses reported that after the shooting, the suspects fled the scene in an SUV.
