Dario Herrera, a 36-year-old Hispanic male, was last seen in Las Cruces, New Mexico on January 12, 2016. On that day, Herrera was released from the Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility. He contacted his family and informed them that he was traveling to his home in Florida via a Greyhound bus. His family anticipated his arrival within two days, but Herrera never reached his destination and has not been heard from since.

At the time of his disappearance, Herrera was 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighed approximately 150 pounds. He has black hair, which he wore short, and brown eyes. Herrera also had a short, trimmed beard with a goatee that was typically longer than the rest of his facial hair. He has several distinctive tattoos, including "Brown Pride" on the back of his head and "Mi Vida Loca" across his stomach. Additional tattoos include the name "Beth" on his neck and forearm, a rosary and "Dario Herrera" on his chest, and teardrops under his eyes.

Herrera was known to frequently wear multiple rings and necklaces, often with religious significance, such as depictions of the Virgin Mary. He also had a preference for wearing oversized sunglasses. The Las Cruces Police Department is the investigating agency for this case, which was reported on January 12, 2018.
