Nicholas Vincent Smith, an 11-year-old boy, disappeared on February 23, 1991, from Las Cruces, New Mexico, along with his mother, Edyth Ann Warner. The two lived in student housing at New Mexico State University, where Edyth was an art student. On the day of their disappearance, Edyth reportedly told her husband, Henry Warner, that she and Nicholas would be staying with a friend temporarily.
