Charles Hawkins, a 63-year-old resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico, was last seen on March 19, 1998, driving his pickup truck. Hawkins had a history of depression and had previously attempted suicide on three occasions. He was fluent in Spanish and had worked as an agricultural manager at New Mexico State University for 29 years.
