Amber Shawnell Hoopes, a 20-year-old woman, disappeared on the night of September 14, 2001, from her grandparents' home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was last seen around 10:30 p.m. when she was reading in her bedroom. By 1:00 a.m., her grandmother noticed Amber was missing, although her television and lights were still on. Amber's personal belongings, including a paycheck and her computer, were left untouched, raising suspicions of foul play.
