Edward Sprenkle Dubbs, 44 years old at the time of his disappearance, was last seen on June 9, 1981, as he left his job at Hayes Williams, Inc., a public relations firm located on Madison Avenue in New York City. Dubbs, a resident of Newtown, Connecticut, typically commuted home via the Conrail commuter train to either the West Redding or Bethel stations.
