On a grim autumn day, November 8, 1988, the remains of 35-year-old Debra Greenlaw DeMello, a White female, were discovered by a highway cleanup crew in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Her nude body was found off the Reed Road on-ramp to Interstate 195 eastbound. DeMello's clothing was found scattered in the branches of nearby trees, a haunting detail in a case that would become part of a larger, terrifying mystery. At the time of her death, Debra was a mother to three children.
