Rochelle Clifford Dopierala, aged 28, disappeared in April 1988 from New Bedford, Massachusetts. Her remains were discovered months later on December 10, 1988, by people riding ATVs in a gravel pit off Reed Road in Dartmouth, about two miles from Route 195. She was partially clothed, and it was determined that she had been beaten to death.
