On May 25, 2003, 19-month-old Acacia Patience Bishop was abducted from her great-grandparents' home in Salt Lake City, Utah, by her mentally ill grandmother, Kelley Jean Lodmell. This incident occurred during a supervised visit, but when Acacia’s great-grandmother left the room, Lodmell fled with the child. They were later spotted near the Snake River in Idaho Falls on May 26. Lodmell, soaking wet, claimed that Acacia had drowned in the river after she dropped her while they were dangling ...
