On the evening of October 2, 1985, 25-year-old Sheree Warren finished her workday at the Utah State Employees Credit Union in Salt Lake City. A coworker saw her walking to her car in the parking lot around 6:30 p.m. Sheree, a mother to a three-year-old son, was in the middle of management training and navigating a difficult period in her personal life.
