Kandis Harris, a 16-year-old from Salt Lake City, Utah, went missing on July 15, 2021. Kandis, who sometimes went by the name "Brooklyn," disappeared after running away from the Odyssey House, a youth treatment facility where she was receiving help for emotional distress and substance abuse issues. In the days following her disappearance, she was active on social media, but this activity stopped suddenly, raising concerns for her safety.
Kandis had a history of running away, and authorities have expressed concern that she may have become a victim of human trafficking, as she had been trafficked before.
At the time of her disappearance, Kandis had dark brown hair (dyed from her natural blonde), hazel eyes, and was approximately 5'3" and 135 pounds. She was last seen near Liberty Park and around the North Temple and State Street areas, but these sightings were not confirmed. Her family, who has been desperately searching for her, initially offered a $30,000 reward for information leading to her return, fearing that her life may be in danger.
