Jedediah Jack Cross, a 25-year-old from Boise, Idaho, went missing on March 13, 2004, while sailing off the coast of California. He had embarked on a solo voyage from San Pedro, California, intending to sail to Mexico aboard his 27-foot sailboat, named *Questar II*. The boat, described as a pocket cruiser with a single mast, was last seen near an island off the coast of Santa Barbara.
