Jimmy Dale Whitfield, a 29-year-old man from Seneca, South Carolina, was last seen on March 7, 1987. He disappeared following an argument with his wife, after which he packed some clothes and left his residence on foot. Two days later, he contacted his family by phone to check on his wife and children, but this was the last time anyone heard from him. Whitfield's close relationship with his mother made his disappearance unusual, leading authorities to suspect foul play.
