Gerald Michael Holmes, aged 25, disappeared on July 21, 1996, after leaving Wayde's Pool Hall in Richland County, South Carolina, around midnight. He was last seen leaving the establishment alone and has not been heard from since. The next morning, Holmes' rental car was found abandoned and burned on Pickell Hill, less than two miles from his aunt's home. Holmes had rented the car because his own vehicle was being repaired at the time.
