Carl Alfred Eder, age 33, disappeared on January 1, 1976, from Napa County, California. His case is particularly notable due to his criminal history. In 1958, at the age of 16, Eder had been taken in by a man named Thomas Pendergast, who offered him shelter. Shortly after, Eder committed a brutal crime, murdering Pendergast's wife and their four children.
