Kenneth Martin, 54, along with his wife Barbara and their three daughters, disappeared on December 7, 1958, after embarking on a family trip from their home in Portland, Oregon. The Martins set out in their 1954 Ford station wagon to the Columbia River Gorge, intending to gather greenery for Christmas decorations. They were last seen purchasing gasoline and leaving a restaurant in Hood River that afternoon.
