Jesus Merino-Mendoza, a 3-year-old boy from Portland, Oregon, was last seen on July 26, 2007. He was allegedly abducted by his non-custodial father, Jesus Merino-Leyva, who was violating a restraining order at the time. A felony warrant for abduction was issued for Merino-Leyva just days later, on July 31, 2007. Authorities believe that the father may have taken Jesus to Mexico, as a relative reportedly gave them a ride to Merced, California, on the day of the abduction.
