Roger Day, a 14-year-old from Porter, Maine, went missing on October 4, 1973. That morning, after having breakfast with his three siblings, Roger told them he planned to skip school and head to the Fryeburg Fair, a popular event in the region. His mother had already left for work, and Roger was supposed to catch the school bus with his siblings.
