Eugene Cross Jr., a 41-year-old man from Fryeburg, Maine, went missing on November 15, 1979. He had gone on a hunting trip with a friend but never returned from the woods. Despite extensive searches, Cross was never found, and he was declared legally dead in 1981. His disappearance remains a mystery, with little evidence or clues to suggest what may have happened to him during the outing.
