Siphat Chau, a 19-year-old honors student from Portland, Maine, went missing on December 24, 2005. Chau had returned home from the University of Maine at Orono, where he was a business major, to spend the Christmas holidays with his family. On the night of December 23, around 1 a.m., he was last seen resting on the couch at his family's home.
