Kenneth W. Crowe, a 46-year-old computer consultant, was last seen on September 10, 1998, in Santa Cruz, California. At the time of his disappearance, Crowe lived alone in an apartment and was working as a self-employed web designer. On the day he went missing, he contacted a client regarding a web design project but failed to follow up later that day as planned. This was unusual for him, and when he could not be reached, he was reported missing a week later.
