Ahmad Solaiman Nourzaie, a 25-year-old University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) student, was last seen on January 18, 2016, at Bonny Doon Beach in Santa Cruz County. Ahmad and several other students had gone to the beach, and three of them used a rope to descend a cliff to stand on a rocky outcropping. A powerful wave unexpectedly swept Ahmad and two others into the ocean. While one student managed to swim back to safety, Nourzaie and another student, Shireen Agha Ahsan, were lost to the sea. ...
