Rodney Trumbo, a 55-year-old man, went missing on November 8, 2013, in the rugged terrain of the San Bernardino Mountains near Crestline, California. Trumbo had reportedly gone into a canyon off the Rim of the World Highway with a friend to search for his lost backpack, wallet, and keys. He had no cell phone activity beyond the day he disappeared. His friend reportedly last saw him on this search, and it is unclear what happened to him afterward.
