Rodney Trumbo, a 55-year-old man, went missing on November 8, 2013, in the rugged terrain of the San Bernardino Mountains near Crestline, California. Trumbo had reportedly gone into a canyon off the Rim of the World Highway with a friend to search for his lost backpack, wallet, and keys. He had no cell phone activity beyond the day he disappeared.
