Thomas Lee Brewer, age 61, was last seen on January 19, 2013, in Marathon, Florida. He disappeared along with his companion, William Vernon Smith, as they departed on a 35-foot white-hulled sailing vessel named *Blondie*. The two men had told friends they planned to sail to the Caribbean, possibly Jamaica. However, they never returned, and no one heard from them after their departure. Brewer, who was in poor health at the time, left without any indication of his plans beyond the trip.
