Richard Salman, aged 66, went missing on June 23, 2017, from Prospect, Maine. That morning, his silver and black 2005 Saab 92, with a vanity license plate reading "ZYGOTE," was found abandoned on the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. The vehicle’s engine was still running, and Salman's walking stick was found leaning against the bridge's barrier, facing the water.
