Ludger Belanger, a 25-year-old from Washington, Maine, went missing on November 25, 1975, after going hunting near his home. That morning, Ludger’s wife and brother dropped him off along Route 105, half a mile from his home, intending to return shortly. He was last seen wearing a red-and-black checked jacket, blaze-orange hat, and carrying a .30-30 hunting rifle. Ludger was expected back by noon, but he never returned.
