Celeste Hensley, a 20-year-old woman, disappeared on August 10, 1976, while hiking in the Cloud Peak Wilderness in the Bighorn Mountains near Kaycee, Wyoming. She had been hiking with two female friends when they decided to climb Cloud Peak without her. Hensley, feeling tired, chose to stay near the trailhead. When her friends returned around 5:00 p.m., she was gone. At the time of her disappearance, she was not carrying any supplies, only a candy bar.
