Thomas Clarke, a 32-year-old from Cavan, Ireland, went missing on September 9, 2011, after being swept out to sea by a wave while visiting Monhegan Island, Maine, for a friend’s wedding. Clarke and a group of friends were hiking along Gull Rock when a large wave, likely influenced by Hurricane Katia, hit the group.
