Thomas Gerry, 36, was last seen on October 18, 1987, when he embarked on a flight from Auburn, Maine, to Nova Scotia in a Cessna 172 seaplane. Gerry, a skilled pilot, was flying solo and intended to reach his destination over the Gulf of Maine or potentially through the Maine woods. However, he never arrived, and no wreckage from the plane has ever been located.
