On June 09, 1990 at 0808 a 911 call was received by an individual who reported that he had killed his paramour a few weeks earlier and buried her at the Half Moon Lake Campground. The individual gave his location but prior to the arrival of law enforcement he committed suicide. The individual was identified as Patrick Allen Hoppe. An officer with the Division of Forestry was provided with the above information and located the victim's grave.
