Deborah Deann Poe, a 25-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida, disappeared while working a night shift at a Circle K convenience store on February 4, 1990. Poe had been juggling two full-time jobs at the time, one at the Orlando Sentinel and the other at Circle K. On the night of her disappearance, her boyfriend checked on her around 1 a.m., and a friend driving by saw her behind the counter around 3 a.m. However, by 4 a.m., the store was found empty, with no signs of a struggle.
Witnesses reported seeing an unknown man behind the counter between 3:15 and 3:30 a.m., a young man with long black hair, wearing a Megadeth t-shirt and a cross earring. He operated the cash register as though he worked there, but investigators have never been able to identify him. Poe’s belongings, including her purse and paycheck, were found inside her car in the store’s parking lot, and tracker dogs traced her scent to a road behind the store, indicating she may have been taken away in a vehicle.
There were no signs of a robbery or struggle, and her disappearance remains unsolved. Despite re-examining evidence and searching locations, including an area tied to a potential suspect in 2002, authorities have not uncovered what happened to Poe.
