Adelina Ibarra Martinez, a 36-year-old woman from Bakersfield, California, was found dead on February 2, 2018. Her body was discovered by a sanitation worker on Breckenridge Road, just east of Vineland Road. The Kern County Coroner's Office identified her and ruled her death as a homicide. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the head. Martinez's body showed obvious trauma to her face, and no weapons were found at the scene during the initial investigation.
