Delores Jean Stanton, a 21-year-old woman, was last seen on April 13, 1976, in Gainesville, Florida. That day, she left her residence in the 300 block of NW 14th Street to hitchhike to Santa Fe Community College, where she was attending classes. Known for frequently hitchhiking, Delores was wearing a bright multi-colored poncho, a blue sweater, and blue jeans, and carried a reddish-brown purse when she disappeared.
