Corey Blackwell-Gines, a 19-year-old from Florissant, Missouri, tragically lost his life on April 5, 2022, due to gun violence in St. Louis. Corey was in a car with two other individuals when someone in a silver vehicle opened fire on them. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. in the 5000 block of Minerva Avenue, west of North Kingshighway. Corey was pronounced dead at the hospital, while another passenger was critically injured.
