On the early morning of April 16, 2022, a violent incident unfolded in the southern part of Kansas City, Missouri, disrupting the quiet of the residential neighborhood. Just after 3:15 a.m., officers from the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched to the 8600 block of Newton Avenue following reports of gunshots in the area.
