Kenneth Jay Mathews, aged 46, tragically lost his life on May 16, 2022, in Joplin, Missouri. On that fateful evening, Mathews was walking with a friend in the 400 block of South Connor Avenue when an unknown assailant opened fire on them. Mathews was shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while his friend was critically injured and transported to a local hospital.
