On the night of May 21, 2013, violence erupted on the east side of Indianapolis, claiming the life of 33-year-old Jason D. Lacey. The incident occurred at his residence near the intersection of 35th Street and Sherman Drive. According to reports, the situation unfolded when Lacey stepped outside his home to let his dog out. Moments later, the quiet of the evening was shattered by the sound of gunfire, leaving Lacey with multiple fatal gunshot wounds.
