On July 16, 2022, a violent sequence of events unfolded in Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of 34-year-old male Marvin Dewayne Yancy Jr. The incident began in the early morning hours when police officers were dispatched around 12:50 a.m. to the intersection of East 83rd Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard following reports of gunfire.
