In the early hours of August 8, 2022, a tragedy unfolded on the streets of St. Louis, Missouri, that claimed the life of 25-year-old Dasia Bowers. A mother to a young daughter, Bowers was driving home around 12:30 a.m. While driving, she was on a video call with her boyfriend, a conversation that would be brutally cut short. Gunfire erupted, and a bullet pierced through her car window, striking her. Authorities believe she was not the intended target and was tragically hit by a stray bullet.
