In the Walnut Park East neighborhood of north St. Louis, a burst of gunfire shattered the late afternoon calm on Monday, November 21, 2022. When police officers arrived at the scene, the parking lot of Mitchell Tire Repair at 5403 Harney Avenue, they found a man lying wounded.

The victim was identified as 32-year-old Christopher Willis Jr., a male who had sustained a gunshot wound to his neck. He was unconscious and not breathing when help arrived. Paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospit ...
