On January 24, 2024, at approximately 5 a.m., St. Louis Metropolitan Police officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Lucas Avenue in the Downtown West neighborhood. Upon arrival, they found 15-year-old Lavincent Robinson with a gunshot wound to his back. He was transported by a private vehicle to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
