In the early morning hours of October 18, 1984, in Evansville, Indiana, a horrific scene unfolded within the Day family home, forever scarring the community. Michael Anthony Day, a 15-year-old White male, along with his five younger siblings, fell victim to an unthinkable act of violence perpetrated by their own father, James A. Day. The father, an electrician with a known history of domestic violence, used a firearm to end the lives of each of his children as they slept in their beds.
