Michael McCown, aged 40, was tragically killed on April 27, 1992, in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was found dead in his mother Sylvia's ceramics store, Sylvia's Ceramic Supply, around 4:00 p.m. McCown's wallet and less than $50 were stolen from the store. His death was part of a series of murders attributed to an unidentified serial killer known as the I-70 Killer, who targeted small business employees along the Interstate 70 corridor during a spree in the spring of 1992.
