On the night of October 19, 2014, police in Indianapolis, Indiana, responded to reports of violence on the city's near-east side. Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North Oxford Street after hearing gunfire erupting from a duplex in the residential neighborhood. The disturbance occurred around 8:46 p.m., drawing law enforcement to the scene to investigate the source of the shots.
