On the night of October 19, 2014, police in Indianapolis, Indiana, responded to reports of violence on the city's near-east side. Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North Oxford Street after hearing gunfire erupting from a duplex in the residential neighborhood. Reid, a Black male also known to friends and family as 'Ork,' suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
