In the crisp autumn air of November 1, 2010, a house party in the 1300 block of North College Street in South Bend, Indiana, took a tragic turn. Among the guests was 19-year-old William Williams, a resident of the city. The night was shattered by the sound of multiple gunshots, and in the ensuing chaos, Williams was struck in the torso. Responding officers found him at the scene, where he was pronounced dead.
