On June 6, 2013, 47-year-old Angie Renee Dixon was fatally shot inside her apartment on South Lombard Avenue in Evansville, Indiana. The events leading to the homicide began the previous evening when Dixon had a dispute with a former partner and another individual, prompting her to feel unsafe.
