In the autumn of 2014, a business arrangement between two men in northwest Indiana took a dark and violent turn, ending a man's life over a significant financial debt. David Krawczenia, a 48-year-old male automotive wholesaler from Portage, had a working relationship with Thomas R. Smith, a mechanic from Hobart.
