Paula Cooper, who gained national attention as the youngest person on death row in the United States, was found dead on May 26, 2015, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, and her death was ruled a suicide by the Marion County coroner's office. Cooper's body was discovered by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police in the 9500 block of Angola Court, with a Bryco .380-caliber handgun found in her lap and her car parked nearby.
