In the early morning hours of June 14, 2015, the Near Northside of Indianapolis was disturbed by the sound of gunfire. At approximately 6:05 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the 1300 block of West 27th Street where they discovered 49-year-old Gerald Darden suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
